Skulls and Black Label Trading Company go together like Nicaragua and volcanos; like maduro and chocolate; like ligero and intensity (that’s a stinger for the cigar nerds out there!).
This all leads into the Orthodox cigar from Black Label Trading (BLTC), bringing the brand back to its roots—both in terms of striking skeleton-fueled gothic imagery and their signature Nicaraguan intensity. Looking past the skull band (which is just top notch, if we may say so), co-owner and blender, James Brown, showcases a dark Mexican San Andrés wrapper, an Ecuadorian Habano binder, and all-Nicaraguan fillers.
This is the Black Label fanatic’s maduro, showcasing the fiery intensity and sweet maduro backing flavors that helped make BLTC a household name for craft hobbyists. The cigars are near the full end of the intensity spectrum, offering toasty and punchy characteristics of earth, black pepper, charred oak, dark chocolate, and stewed fruit sweetness on the backend.
