The Firecracker cigar is something of a legend in craft cigar circles. First kicking off in 2006, the Firecracker began as more of a size than a blend, where fan-favorite manufacturers would craft amped-up smoking experiences in the signature 3½” x 50 Firecracker format (complete with an exaggerated fuse-tail head).
Eventually, United Cigars took the concept in-house, rolling their own vision of the cigar that would become the official Firecracker cigar. As expected, the cigars are rolled in a short-but-fiery 3½” x 50 format, being topped with a fuse-style head that is tucked beneath the cigar’s band. In terms of blend, the United Firecracker begins with an Ecuadorian Habano wrapper; this is secured over a Dominican Criollo binder and fillers from Nicaragua and the Dominican Republic.
This is the perfect smoke for those occasions when you’re short on time but looking for a jolt of flavor/spice. With a covered foot, the Firecracker allows you to get the full flavor of Habano wrapper while lighting. This opens up to reveal a medium-full intensity and flavors of red/black pepper, earth, toasted hardwoods, and spicy roasted nuts.
