Maracanã from OZ Family Cigars is Tim Ozgener’s tribute to the world’s game, named after Brazil’s legendary Estádio do Maracanã. Produced at My Father Cigars in Honduras, the cigar features a Brazilian Arapiraca wrapper over a dual binder of Honduran and Nicaraguan tobaccos, with fillers sourced from Honduras and Nicaragua, including leaf from the Talanga Valley and Garcia family farms. As a regular production release, it also marks a return to the Brazilian-forward style that defined some of Ozgener’s earlier work.
Medium-to-full-bodied, Maracanã delivers a composed, layered profile with notes of leather, oak, cocoa, and spice, complemented by a subtle caramel-like sweetness. Built with the Garcia family’s signature construction, the cigar offers a steady burn and consistent performance from start to finish, making it an easy choice whether you’re watching a match or settling in for a long, relaxed smoke.
