We’ve been blending and re-blending…trying to find just the perfect tobaccos that would be worthy of being the BEE’S KNEES DARK HONEYCOMB.
After all this time…we’ve been rewarded with a cigar that is in our opinion..PERFECT!
This is a maduro-lovers dream come true. BEE’S KNEES DARK HONEYCOMB is chocolatey…sweet like honey…and absolutely luscious!
BEE’S KNEES DARK HONEYCOMB features exclusive tobaccos that we’ve never used before! We wanted to achieve new flavor notes and nuances. Always pushing the bar higher and higher with what flavors can be coaxed out of vintage and rare tobaccos!

BEE’S KNEES DARK HONEYCOMB is a full-bodied, med/full strength 6.5×48 toro. Wrapper is a chocolatey 10-year-aged San Andres maduro leaf. Binder and filler tobaccos will remain a closely guarded secret. All tobaccos are aged between 7-12 years!
First light is a huge wave of creamy milk chocolate, honey, white oak, and vanilla bean. Espresso, tanned leather, and clove immediately follow. The retrohale is strong adding a cayenne pepper burn. The finish lingers on the palate for several minutes adding massive sweet and creamy flavors.
As it progresses, chocolate brownies, nutmeg, and cinnamon are added. Cafe latte and toasted nuts appear along with hints of molasses and black tea.
Halfway the blend begins to “round out” and the flavor of aged tobacco begins to strongly emerge. Big notes of caramel, mocha, custard, and rum barrel. Hints of graham cracker and amaretto. The finish tastes like sugar cookies. I don’t know how else to say it…This cigar is phenomenal!
Last third, everything crescendos! Bold blasts of cinnamon stick, licorice, sugar cane, red pepper, and butter. Creamed honey, maple, and brown ale. The burn is perfect and the cigar stays cool all the way to the nub!
