The annual limited edition Powstanie Wojtek “War Bear” cigar is a slick looking barber pole format, using Ecuadorian Habano and Mexican San Andres tobacco leaves. The name Wojtek stems from a Syrian brown bear who was purchased to assist the Poland military in moving stockpiles of ammunition and supplies during WWII. Wojtek the “War Bear” was even enlisted as a Polish soldier, and during his tenure ended up with the rank of corporal. The majestic 490-pound bear’s war stories became very popular with the Polish nation after World War II ended making Wojtek famous throughout central Europe.
With Powstanie Wojtek 2023 you will enjoy the deep tobacco flavors with notes of cream, toasty cedar, coffee, black pepper, and a hint of dark chocolate.
