In 2014, Warped Cigars returned to the market with a new look, new focus and new brand. The brand had been around since 2008, but was better known for having a cult following on cigar forums than being available at your local store. In 2014, Warped relaunched in an even bigger way than before, most notably, with a much greater focus on national distribution. It’s now been a decade since that relaunch, which also means it’s the 10th anniversary of the three lines it introduced in 2014: Don Reynaldo, El Oso and La Comena. In February, the company released El Oso’s 10th anniversary cigar: a 6 x 50 toro known as Grand Papa that uses a different blend than the standard El Oso line. At last month’s 2024 PCA Convention & Trade Show, it showed off the other two 10th anniversary cigars. As for the La Colmena 10th Anniversary, it’s a 5 7/8 x 50 robusto extra. Again, no blend details were provided at PCA 2024, though the regular La Colmena blend uses an Ecuadorian wrapper and binder over Nicaraguan fillers.
