Viaje The Geisha Corojo 99 is one of the most distinctive and culturally rich releases in the boutique cigar world — and after its celebrated debut in 2022, it’s back for a new release. If you missed it the first time, now you know what’s at stake.
The story of Viaje The Geisha begins not in a tobacco field, but in Japan. Andre Farkas, founder of Viaje Cigars, grew up immersed in Japanese culture — his father is a seventh-degree black belt and world-renowned martial arts instructor. In 2010, Farkas released his first Japanese-inspired line, the Satori. But it was his first trip to Japan in 2016 that planted the seed for something far more ambitious. “The trip had a profound impact on me,” Farkas told Cigar Aficionado. “It was during this trip I started to think about The Geisha.”
Six years later — after meticulous development at one of Nicaragua’s most respected factories — The Geisha arrived. And the cigar world paid attention. Produced at the Agricola Ganadera Norteña S.A. (AGANORSA Leaf) factory in Estelí, Nicaragua, using all-AGANORSA-grown Nicaraguan tobaccos, The Geisha Corojo 99 is a limited production figurado of exceptional character and unmistakable identity.
